Bad omen and misfortune are nothing.

 

The Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said  لا طيرة bad omen is nothing.

[Sahih Bukhari 5754, Sahih Muslim 2223]

Another hadees mentioned that Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said لَا شُؤْمَ "that bad omen and bad luck are nothing.

[Sunan Tirmidhi 2824 sanad Hasan]

Therefore it becomes clear that in Islam the concept of bad omen and misfortune doesn't exist. Some foolish and ignorant people(who do not possess intellect, have woven the concept of bad omen and misfortune deep into their hearts and mind.

People who spend their lives in the blame game believe that if they meet some unlucky person, their day would get ruined, or if a journey is planned or some work has begun on Tuesday or Wednesday it would be unsuccessful, there are some who say the month of safar is unlucky and as it has "Terah Tezi" due to which things break. Then there are others who say it is not correct to marry in the month in between the two Eids. The belief of such superstitious people are thoughtless and are rejected for being in opposition to the Quran and traditions of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

The mother of the believers Sayyidah Ayesha Siddiqa رضیﷲ عنہا reported that:

تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي شَوَّالٍ وَبَنَى بِي فِي شَوَّالٍ

 The Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم married me in the month of Shawwal and consummated the marriage in the same month.

[Sahih Bukhari 1423]

The month of Shawwal comes in between Eid- ul- Fitr and Eid-ul- Adha and so the concept of not marrying in between the two Eids are false and rejected for opposing the authentic hadees.

Some reports mention about women and bad luck does not mean bad luck in literal meaning, rather it mentions women's property and army to be among the common reasons for trials, tribulations, and killing in the Dunya.

Undeniable Truth! The Arrival of Imam Mahdi عليه السلام.

 

It is proven from Sahih and Hasan hadith that before the Qiyamah there will be a Caliph of Muslims and His name is "Imam Mahdi" and in his period of time Saydna Isa ibn Maryam (Jesus) will be sent down who were appointed as a prophet for Bani Israel, following are the Sahih and Hasan ahadith mentioned on coming of Mahdi عليه السلام.

Saydna Abu Huraira رضیﷲ عنه reported from Rasoolallah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

كيف انتم ازا نزل ابن مريم فيكم وامامكم منكم؟

How will you be when the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you and your imam is among you."

[Sahih Bukhari 3449, Sahih Muslim 155 Tarqeem Darussalam 392]

The Imam mentioned in this hadith refers to Imam Mahdi AhiruzZama according to a statement.

[Ref: Akmal Akmal Al Muallim Mohammad bin khalifa al washtani al ubyi (Sharah ubyi Ala Sahih Muslim vol 1 pg 450 Kitabul Imaan #244]

Hafiz Ibn Hibban رحمہ اللہ derived from this hadith that until the descending of Isa ibn Maryam alayh Ummah will have Imamat (Caliphate).

[Al Ahsan 15/213 #6802]

in some of the narration فامكم word is mentioned and Mohammad bin Abdurrahman bin abi Dhi'b Al Madani رحمہ اللہ (d.158) explained about this.

 فامكم بكتاب ربكم عزوجل  وسنة نبيكم  صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم‎

He would lead you according to the Book of your: Lord (hallowed be He and most exalted) and the Sunnah of Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم

[Sahih Muslim Kitabul Imaan 299]

Saydna Jabir bin Abdullah رضیﷲ عنه reported that he heard Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم saying:

لا تزال طاىٔفة من امتي يقاتلون على الحق ظاهرين الىٰ يوم القيامة،قال: عيسى بن مريم عليه السلام فيقول اميرهم: تىال صلّ لنا فيقول: لا، ان بعضكم علىٰ بعض امراء، تكرمة اللّٰه هزه الامة.

A section of my people will not cease fighting for the Truth and will prevail till the Day of Resurrection. He said: Jesus son of Mary would then descend and their (Muslims') commander would invite him to come and lead them in prayer, but he would say: No, some amongst you are commanders over some (amongst you). This is the honour from Allah for this Ummah.

[Sahih Muslim 156]

The commander mentioned in this hadith refers to Imam Mahdi عليه السلام.

It has been narrated from Saydna Jabir bin Abdullah رضیﷲ عنه that Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

يكون في آخر امتي خليفة يحثي المال حثياً ولا يعدّه عدًّا.

having said there would be a caliph in the last (period) of my Ummah who would freely give handfuls of wealth to the people without counting it.

[Sahih Muslim 2913 Darussalam 7315 Sharah As Sunnah Al Bagawi 15/86,87 #4271 baab Al Mahdi wa Qaal haaza hadees Sahih]

Caliph mentioned in this hadith refers to Imam Mahdi عليه السلام.

It has been narrated from Abu Saeed Al Khudri رضیﷲ عنه that Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

يخرج في آخر أمتي المهدي، يسقيه الله الغيث، وتخرج الأرض نباتها، ويعطى المال صحاحا، وتكثر الماشية، وتعظم الأمة، يعيش سبعا أو ثمانيا يعني حججا.

At the end of my ummah the Mahdi will emerge; Allah will send rain for him and the earth will bring forth its vegetation wealth will be distributed equally and justly, livestock will increase and the ummah will become great, and he will live or stay alive for 7 or 8 years.

[Al Mustadrak 4/557,558 #8673 sanad sahih]

[Imam Hakim and dhahabi bothe of them classified this hadith as Sahih]

[Sahih Muslim 2913]

It was narrated from Saydna Ali رضیﷲ عنه that Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

المهدي منا اهل البيت، يصلحه اللّٰه في ليلة

Mahdi is one of us, the people of the Household. Allah will rectify him in a single night.

[Musnad Ahmad 1/84 #645 sanad hasan Sunan Ibn Majah 4085]

The chain of transmission of this hadith is Hasan li Zatihi, because Yaseen al ajli al koofi and Ibrahim bin Mohammad bin al Hanafiyah, both of them are truthful and trustworthy according to Majority of the Mohaddiseen they're Hasan ul hadees and Jarah on them is rejected, for more refe to Sunan Abi Dawood 4283 sanad hasan.

Sayyidah Umme Salmah رضى اللٰه عنها narrated that Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

المهدي من عترتي من ولد فاطمة.

The Mahdi will be of my family, of the descendants of Fatimah. 

[Sunan Abu Dawood 4284 sanad hasan, Sunan Ibn Majah 4086]

Saynda Abdullah bin Masood رضیﷲ عنه reported that Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said

لا تزهب الدنيا،حتى يملك العرب رجل من اهل بيتي يواطى اسه اسمى

The world will not pass away before the Arabs are ruled by a man of my family whose name will be the same as mine (Mohammad)

[Musnad Ahmad 1/377 #3573 pg 430 #4098 sanad Hasan, Sunan Abi Dawood 4282 Sunan Tirmidhi 2230 Wa qaal Hasan Sahih wa sahih Zahbi fi Talkhées Al Mustadrak 4/442]

The narrator of this hadith Qari Aasim bin abi al khoud al kufi رحمہ اللہ is hasan ul hadees according to majority of the Mohaddiseen because he was Muatthaq hence Jarah on him has rejected and remaining sanad is Sahih Li zatihi.

And there's an addition that Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said  ابيه اسم واسم ابي (his father's name will be same as my father's name) in the narration of Sadooq ul hadees wa Thiqa al jamhoor Fatr bin khalifa.

[Musannaf ibn abi Shaybah 21/292 #38802 sanad Hasan Al Moajjam al kabeer tabarani 10/163 #10213]

ref to: Sahih ibn hibban Al Ahsan 6785/ 6824, Muwaariduz Zamaan 1878 "that  name of Imam Mahdi عليه السلام will be "Mohammad bin Abdullah".

Saydna Ali رضیﷲ عنه reported that Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

لو لم يبق الدهر الا يوم لبعث اللّٰه عزوجل رجل من اهل بيتي يملوها عدلا كما ملىت جورا

If only one day of this time (world) remained, Allah would raise up a man from my family who would fill this earth with justice as it has been filled with oppression.

[Sunan Abi dawood 4283 sanad hasan]

Sayyida Aayesha رضى اللٰه عنها reported that Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

العجب ان ناسا من امتي يومون البيت برجل من قريش قد لجا بالبيت حتى ازا كانو بالبيداء خسف بهم

Strange it is that some people of my Ummah would attack the House (Ka'ba) (for killing) a person who would belong to the tribe of the Quraish and he would try to seek protection in the House. And when they would reach the plain ground they would be sunk.

[Sahih Muslim 2884]

Sayyida Umme Salmah رضى اللٰه عنها reported that mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said

يعوز عاىٔز بالبيت اليه بعث فازا كانو ببيداء من الارض خسف بهم

A seeker of refuge would seek refuge in the Sacred House and an army would be sent to him (in order to kill him) and when it would enter a plain ground, it would be made to sink

[Sahih Muslim 2882]

The conclusion of all of these Marfoo narrations is that before the Qiyamah Imam Mahdi will arrive and this is proven from Mutawatir narrations and this is fact which is undeniable without any doubts and arguments.

Many of the scholars classified the hadiths of Arrival of Mahdi as Mutawatir.

[Fathul bari 6/493,494 #3449 Al Minaarul Munéef La ibn Al Qayyim pg 141-142]

-Mohammad bin Jafar bin Idrees al Qattani 

[Nazmul Mutanathar Min al Hadees Al Mutawatirah pg 236 #289]

Following are the statements of Salaf on Arrival of Imam Mahdi عليه السلام.

Saydna Ali رضیﷲ عنه said: There will be trials, people will burn in it like gold got heat in the furnace hence do not say any bad things to the people of Ash shaam because there are pious Slaves of Allah among them and say ill about the oppressors of Ash shaam then people will battle and they will get defeated then Hashmi will appear so Allah will make them brave and content again and Allah will bestow his blessings upon them then Dajjal will come while the condition of the people remain the same.

[Mustadrak al haakim 4/553 #8658 sanad sahih]

Saydna Abdullah bin Abbas رضى اللٰه عنه said:

I believe that one day a young boy will arrive from our Ahle bayt, he will face trials but he will be saved from those trials and he will fix up the issues of this ummah

[Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah 15/196 #37620]

Saydna Abdullah ibn Abbas رضیﷲ عنه said:

منا ثلاثة منا السفاح ومنا المنصور ومنا المهدي

There will be three among us, the soldiers, the one who get helped, and the Mahdi

[Musannaf ibn Abi Shaybah 15/197 #37631 sanad hasan]

It is reported from a Sahabi that Mahdi won't appear until the Nafs e zakiyah get killed.

[Musannaf ibn Abi shaybah 15/199 #37642 sanad hasan]

Saydna Abdullah ibn Amru bin al aas رضیﷲ عنه said regarding the people of Koofa that they will treat Mahdi عليه السلام with beautiful behaviour.

[Al Fitan lildani 5/1058,1059 #578 sanad hasan]

The conclusion of all these hadith and the aathar is that before the Qiyamah a caliph named Mohammad bin Abdullah al Fatimi al Hashmi whom we also call al Mahdi will appear, in his period of time Saydna Isa عليه السلام will descend from the sky and Islam will dominate the whole world.

Many reliable scholars classified the hadiths as autheny on Arrival of Mahdi عليه السلام like, Imam Tirmidhi, Hafiz Ibn Hibban, Imam Hakim, Uqayli and Dhahabi etc.

Note: it is attributed to Rasoolallah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم that he said:

ولا المهدي الا عيسى بن مريم

No one is Mahdi besides Isa عليه السلام.

[Sunan ibn majah 4039]

This narration is weak and rejected due to four reasons.

-Imam Hasan al basri رحمہ اللہ was Mudallis and he is narrating this with عن

-Mohammad bin Khalid al jundi is unknown narrator and the tautheeq from Imam ibn Mayeen رحمہ اللہ is not proven.

-Abaan bin saleh didn't hear this hadith from Hasan Al Basri رحمہ اللہ

-No one from the Mohaddiseen declared this hadith as Sahih or authentic although this hadith is declared munkar and rejected by Bayhaqi, Haakim Dhahabi etc.

Three benefits of the Stars.

Imam Ibn Kathir رحمہ اللہ reported from pious predecessors that:

مَنِ اعْتَقَدَ فِي هَذِهِ النُّجُومِ غَيْرَ ثَلَاثٍ فَقَدْ أَخْطَأَ وَكَذَبَ عَلَى اللَّهِ

Whoever holds the belief regarding the stars، other than these three then he lies on Allah Azzawajal and make a huge mistake:

1. أَنَّ اللَّهَ جَعَلَهَا زِينَةً لِلسَّمَاءِ 

-Allah created the stars to beautify the skies.

As Allah says in Quran: اِنَّا زَیَّنَّا السَّمَآءَ  الدُّنۡیَا بِزِیۡنَۃِ الۡکَوَاکِب

Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars.

[Surah As Saffat 9/6]

2. وَرُجُومًا لِلشَّيَاطِينِ

-To drive away Shaitan from the sky

As Allah says in Qur'an: 

وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا رُجُومًا لِلشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ السَّعِيرِ

And We have certainly beautified the nearest heaven with stars and have made [from] them what is thrown at the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the Blaze. 

[ Surah Al Mulk 67/5]

3. وَيُهْتَدَى بِهَا فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ

-For the navigation in dark and harsh ocean voyages.

As Allah says in Qur'an:


 وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ النُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُوا بِهَا فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ

And it is He who placed for you the stars that you may be guided by them through the darkness of the land and sea. We have detailed the signs for a people who know. 

[Surah Anaam 6/97]

Imam Baghwi رحمہ اللہ also stated the same regarding three benifits of Stars.

Funeral prayer (Salatul Janaza) for a friend who's alive.

Abu Hafs Al Abar reported from his father that he said:

كان لي عند ابن شبرمة حاجه فقضاها فأتيته أشكره

I was in need of something and Ibn Shubrumah did a favour for me so I went to thank him.

فقال على أي شئ تشكرني

So he asked me, “What are you thanking me for?”

قلت قضيت لي حاجة

So I replied, “For helping me out in a time of need.”

فقال اذهب إذا سألت صديقك حاجه يقدر على قضائها فلم يبذل نفسه وماله فتوضأ للصلاة وكبر عليه أربعا وعدة في الموتى

So he said, “Leave. For if you ever ask a friend for help and he has the ability yet he makes no effort to help you, then make wudhu, stand for prayer, make 4 takbeers and consider him thereon from the deceased.

[Tarikh Dimashq 34/307]

A Woman Cannot Escape Her Jealousy

In the Ṣahihayn is the narration of Ayesha رضیﷲ عنہا that Rasoolallah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said to her:

 إنِّي أَعْرِفُ إذَا كُنْت رَاضِيَةً عَنِّي وَإِذَا كُنْت عَلَيَّ غَضْبَى

 I know when you are pleased with me or angry with me.

قَالَتْ: فَقُلْت: وَمِنْ أَيْنَ تَعْرِفُ ذَلِكَ؟

I said, “When do you know that?”

قَالَ: أَمَّا إذَا كُنْت عَنِّي رَاضِيَةً فَإِنَّك تَقُولِينَ: لَا وَرَبِّ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَإِذَا كُنْت غَضْبَى قُلْت: لَا وَرَبِّ إبْرَاهِيمَ

He said: When you are pleased with me, you say, “No, by the Lord of Muḥammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم” But when you are angry with me, then you say, “No, by the Lord of Ibrahim عليه السلام.”

Thereupon I said, “Yes you are right but by Allah, Ya Rasoolallah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, I leave nothing but your name.”

قُلْت: أَجَلْ وَاَللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَهْجُرُ إلَّا اسْمَك»

Al Qadi Iyad رحمہ اللہ said: 

مُغَاضَبَةُ عَائِشَةَ لِلنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - هُوَ مِمَّا سَبَقَ مِنْ الْغَيْرَةِ الَّتِي عُفِيَ عَنْهَا لِلنِّسَاءِ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِنْ الْأَحْكَامِ لِعَدَمِ انْفِكَاكِهِنَّ مِنْهَا

Sayyidah Ayesha رضیﷲ عنہا being angry with the Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم was because of her jealousy the consequences for which women are generally pardoned due to it being something they cannot disassociate themselves from.

حَتَّى قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَغَيْرُهُ مِنْ عُلَمَاءِ الْمَدِينَةِ: يَسْقُطُ عَنْهَا الْحَدُّ إذَا قَذَفَتْ زَوْجَهَا بِالْفَاحِشَةِ عَلَى جِهَةِ الْغَيْرَةِ

So much so that Imam Malik and other than him have said: ”If a woman accuses her husband of adultery (Zinah) out of al girah (jealousy), she cannot be punished."

[Ibn Muflih al Adab Al Shariyah wa al Minah al Mariyah 1/248]

Benefits and Virtues of Cold Water.

It is mentioned in Qur'an that Allah said to Saydna Ayyub عليه السلام

اُرۡکُضۡ بِرِجۡلِکَ ۚ ہٰذَا مُغۡتَسَلٌۢ  بَارِدٌ وَّ  شَرَابٌ 

 [So he was told], "Strike [the ground] with your foot; this is a [spring for] a cool bath and drink." 

[Surah Suaad 38/42]

Allah Azzawajal healed Saydna Ayyub عليه السلام with the cold water as Allah put shifa in the cold water.

Rasoolallah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم also made the dua with these words.

اللَّهُمَّ طَهِّرْنِي بِالثَّلْجِ، وَالْبَرَدِ، وَالْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ

Ya Allah! purify me with snow and hail and cold water.

[Sunan Nasai 402 Sahih by Imam al Albani رحمہ اللہ]

Rasoolallah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم also said

إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَعْنِي الْعَبْدَ مِنْ النَّعِيمِ أَنْ يُقَالَ لَهُ : أَلَمْ نُصِحَّ لَكَ جِسْمَكَ وَنُرْوِيَكَ مِنْ الْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ

Indeed the first of what will be asked about on the Day of Judgment meaning the slave (of Allah) being questioned about the favors, is that it will be said to him: ‘Did We not make your body, health, and give you of cool water to drink?’”

[Sunan Tirmidhi 3358 Sahih]

Abu Huraira رضیﷲ عنه reported that Rasoolallah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said

الْحُمَّى كِيرٌ مِنْ كِيرِ جَهَنَّمَ فَنَحُّوهَا عَنْكُمْ بِالْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Fever is one of the bellows of Hell, so avert it from yourselves with cold water.”

[Sunan Ibn Majah 3475 sahih]

Rasoolallah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said

Dawood عليه السلام would supplicate, saying:

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ وَالْعَمَلَ الَّذِي يُبَلِّغُنِي حُبَّكَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ حُبَّكَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ نَفْسِي وَأَهْلِي وَمِنَ الْمَاءِ الْبَارِدِ

 O Allah, I ask you for your love and the love of those who love you and the deeds that will bring me your love. O Allah, make your love more beloved to me than myself and my family and even cold water.

[Tirmidhi 3490 Hasan]

Beautiful Tears.

Anas ibn Sirin reported that the wife of Masruq said,

« كان تعني مسروقا يصلي حتى ترم قدماه فربما جلست خلفه أبكي مما أراه يصنع بنفسه »

“Masruq رحمہ اللہ used to pray until his feet would get swollen and I would sit behind him crying after seeing what he does to himself (striving in worship).”

[Ibn Abi Duniya Tahajjud wa Qiyam al Layl 219/228]

Ad Dayyooth

 Some people have a habit calling an individual "Dayyooth" (the person whose wife or daughter doesn't put veil or carry Hijab).


This is inappropriate, and it is a crime in Islamic law, the word Dayyooth is used in a very specific term as it is mentioned in Lisaan Al Arab.

الدَّيُّوثُ والدَّيْبُوثُ الَّذِي يدخُل الرجالُ عَلَى حُرْمته، بِحَيْثُ يَرَاهُمْ، كأَنه ليَّنَ نفسَه عَلَى ذَلِكَ

Dayyooth is a person who let other men have sexual intercourse with his wife or daughter and watch them as being tolerant about it.

[Al Lisaan al Arab 2/150]

The english term of Dayyooth is Cuckold and this is not a common word to be used, following are the statements of Salaf on the meaning of Dayyooth.

Imam khalwati رحمہ اللہ said:

الديوثُ هو: يرى زوجته تزني، ويُقِرُّها  عليه، ولا يفارقها 

Dayyooth is the person who watch his wife doing zina, and consider it and do not leave his wife (i.e. separate himself from her)

[Hashiyah Al Khalwati Al Muntaha Al Iradaat 4/257]

Imam Munziri رحمہ اللہ said:

هو الذي يعلم الفاحشة في أهله، ويقرُّهم عليها

Dayyooth is a person who's knows his wife is an doer of fahash and accept her as she is.

[At Targheeb Wa Tarheeb lil Munzari 3/104]

And also said:

هو الذي يقر أهله على الزنا مع علمه بهم

A person who allows Zina to his wife and agreed over it even though he knows all about it.

[At Targheeb Wa Tarheeb lil Munzari 3/323]

Mulla Ali Qari Hanafi رحمہ اللہ also said:

الدَّيُّوثُ الَّذِي يُقِرُّ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ الْخَبَثَ أَيِ الزِّنَا

Dayyooth is the person who consider impure for his wife and allow zina to his wife.

[Mirqat al Mafatih Sharah Mishkat al Masabih 4/390]

Imam Ibrahim al Harbi رحمہ اللہ said:

الدَّيُّوثُ هو الذى يُدْخِلُ الرِّجالَ على امْرَأتِه

Dayyooth is the person who let other men sleep with his wife.

[Al Insaaf fi Marifah ar Rajeh min Ikhtelaaf 24/396, Al Mughni 9/90]

Imam Zey'li رحمہ اللہ said:

هُوَ الَّذِي يَرَى مَعَ امْرَأَتِهِ أَوْ مَحْرَمِهِ رَجُلًا فَيَدَعُهُ خَالِيًا بِهَا. 

A person who's a Dayyooth, let his wife or mehram be alone with a man.

[Tabiyyin Al Haqaiq Sharah Kanzul Daqaiq wa Hashiyah Shibli 3/308]

It has been mentioned about Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal رحمہ اللہ that he was asked, what if someone called a man Dayyooth then he answered regarding this that:

قَذْفٌ لِامْرَأَتِهِ

This is a an accusation of zina قذف on his wife.

[Al Insaaf fi Marifah ar Rajeh min Ikhtelaaf 24/394]

Imam Ahmad رحمہ اللہ was asked what if someone called a man Dayyooth?

He replied: يُعَزَّرُ he will be punishable.

[Al Jami al Uloom Imam Ahmad 12/328]

Imam ibn Qudamah رحمہ اللہ said:

وَالْقَذْفُ بِذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ يُوجِبُ التَّعْزِيرَ

Like wise every قذف is a necessarily punishable 

[Al Mughni 9/90]

The title Siddeeq to Abu bakr عليه السلام was revealed by Allah عزوجل from the sky.

Saydna Abu Yahya رضیﷲ عنه said:

سمع عليا يحلف لانزل الله اسم ابى بكر من السماء الصديق.

I heard Ali عليه السلام saying by swearing Allah that the title of "Siddeeq" was revealed from the sky for Abu Bakr رضیﷲ عنه by Allah عزوجل.

[Mustadrak al Hakim 3/65, 4405, Tabarani Kabeer, 1/55 #14, Allama Haythami رحمہ اللہ said this has been narrated by Tabarani and the narrators of it are trustworthy]

Covering the face of women in Hanafi Madhab.

-Hanafi scholar's opinion when there's no fitna.


The Mutakkhireen and Mutaqaddimeen of Hanafiyah do not consider women's face to be covered, according to them as the women have to go out of the house, buying and selling  and for other causes it is problematic to cover their faces. Because of this these Hanafiyah scholars separated the face of women from the satr.

Abu al barr kaat Abdullah bin Mohammad bin Ahmad bin Mahmood An Nasfi writes.

بدن الحرة عورة الا وجهها وكفيها وقدميها.

The whole body of a free woman is awrah except her face and hands and both of the feet.

[Kanzul Daqaiq pg. 28]

Al Marghinani said:

وبدن الحرة كلها عورة الا وجهها وكفيها.

The full body of a free woman is awrah except her face and hands.

[Al Hidayah 1/43]

Imam Kasani said:

فلا يحل النظر للاجنبى من الاجنبية الحرة الى ساىر بدنها الا الوجه والكفين.

It is not permissible for an unknown man to look at the body of unknown woman except her face and her hands.

[Bada'a as Sanai 5/121]

It is mentioned in Fatawa Alamgiri

بدن الحرة عورة الا وجهها وكفيها وقدميها.

The whole body of a free woman is awrah except her face and hands and both of the feet.

[Al Fatawa al Hindiyah 1/58]

Imam Abu Bakr al Jassas said in the commentary of veree ولا يبدين زينتهن الا ظهر منها

ويدل على ان الوجه والكفين من المراة ليسا بعورة

And this verse of the Qur'an is and evidence that hands and face of a woman is not from the awrah.

-Opinion of the Hanafi scholars on covering the face of woman when there's a fitna.

The scholars of Hanafiyah have the opinion that it is wajib for a woman to cover her face when there's a fitna.

Imam Abu bakr al Jassas رحمہ اللہ said under the commentary of the verse يدنين عليهن من جلابيبهن 

في هذه الاية دلالة على ان المراك الشابة مامورة بستر وجهها عن الاجنبيين واظهار الستر والعفاف عند الخروج لىلا يطمع اهل الريب فيهن وفيها دلالة على ان الامة ليس عليها بستر وجهها وشعرها لان قوله تعالى(ونساء المومنين) ظاهره انه اراد الحراىر

This verse has proof that it is commanded to a woman to cover her face from the unknown men and also commanded to hide or cover her body and reflect her modesty so that muanfiqeens can't drag themselves into any kinds of selfishness. This verse also indicates that it is not necessary for a slave girl to cover her hairs and face because ونساء المومنين talks about free women only.

Imam Sharnbilali writes:

وجميع بدن المراة اى جسدها الا وجهها ومنع الشابة من كشفه الفتنة لا لانه عورة.

And the complete body of woman is awrah except her face, due to fitna women have been urged to cover their faces not because it is from the awrah.

[Mairaqi al Falah Fi Sharah matn Nur Al Aizah pg. 131]

Imam ibn Aabideen رحمہ اللہ states:

وتمنع المراة الشابة من كشف الوجه بين الرجال لا لانه عورة بل لخوف الفتنة.

Women would be told to not to uncover her face in front of men not because it comes under the Awrah but due to the fear of fitna.

[Radd al Muhtar ala radd al Mukhtar 2/72]

Imam ibn Najeem رحمہ اللہ said:

قال مشاخنا تمنع المراة الشابة من كشف وجهها بين الرجال في زماننا للفتنة.

Our Shuyookh gave fatwa that during our time because of the fitna women would be commanded to cover her face infront of men.

[Al bahr ar Raiq sharah Kanzul Daqaiq 1/284]

Imam Sarkhasi رحمہ اللہ said

خوف الفتنة في النظر إلى وجهها أكثر منه إلى سائر الأعضاء..لكنا نأخذ بقول علي وابن عباس رضي الله عنهم فقد جاءت الأخبار في الرخصه بالنظر إلى وجهها وكفها

Looking at the women's face is much greater fitna then looking at her whole body but as we have extracted from the statements of Saydna Ali رضیﷲ عنه and ibn Abbas رضیﷲ عنه that looking at the women's face is valid.

[Al Mabsoot 10/153-152]

Imam Alauddin Haskafi said:

ولذا تمنع من كشف وجهها بين الرجال للفتنة

Because of this women are refrained to uncover her face infront of men due to fitna.

[Al durr al muntaqa fi sharah al Muntaqa 1/121]

Imam Abdur rahman Kalibauli writes:

وفى المنتقى تمنع الشابة عن كشف وجهها لىلا يودى الى الفتنة وفى زماننا المنع واجب بل فرض لغلبة الساد وعن عاىشة عنها جميع بدن الحرة عورة الا احدى عينيها.

Logically women will be refrained from uncovering her their face because this act could become the reason for trials and tribulations and in during our time stopping women from uncovering her face is necessary and not even necessary it's an obligation because the fasaad will increase and it has been narrated from Ayesha رضیﷲ عنہا that whole body of women is awrah except her one eye.

Conclusion is that according to Mutakkhireen and Mutaqaddimeen of Hanafiyah school of thought, face and hands of women is not from the awrah and it is valid to look at women's face if there's no fitna or lust, desire and passion but if there's a fear of fitna then it is wajib to cover the face of women.

Though Hanafiyah do not consider the covering of face from the shariyah but consider it necessary due to situation to avoid fitnah

Disbeliever's system can be run but not the system of oppression.

Imam ibn Taymiyah رحمہ اللہ said:

الجزاء في الدنيا متفق عليه أهل الأرض فإن الناس لم يتنازعوا في أن عاقبة الظلم وخيمة وعاقبة العدل كريمة، فإن الله لينصر الدولة العادلة وإن كانت كافرة ولا ينصر الدولة الظالمة وإن كانت مؤمنة".

Thus, people are agreed that outcome of oppression lead to dishonour and outcome of justice lead to honor and this is why it has been narrated:

Allah supports the rule of the justice even if it is ruled by disbelievers, and doesn't support the rule who oppresses even if it is run by Muslims.

Why humans can't see Angels in their true form.

Shaikh Umar al Ashqar said:

ولما كانت الملائكة أجساماً نورانيَّة لطيفة ؛ فإن العباد لا يستطيعون رؤيتهم ، خاصة أن الله لم يُعطِ أبصارنا القدرة على هذه الرؤية ، ولم يرَ الملائكةَ في صُوَرهم الحقيقية من هذه الأمَّة إلا الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلَّم ؛ فإنه رأى جبريل مرتين في صورته التي خلَقه الله عليها ، وقد دلَّت النصوص على أن البشر يستطيعون رؤية الملائكة إذا تمثَّلت الملائكة في صورة البشر .

Because the angels have subtle bodies of light, people cannot see them, especially since Allah has not given our eyes the ability to see them. No one in this ummah has seen the angels in their true form except the RasoolAllah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم as He saw Jibreel عليه السلام twice in the form with which Allah created him. The texts indicate that humans can see angels if the angels appear in human form.

Else he will marry a second wife.

Allama ibn Al Jawzi رحمہ اللہ said:

”وينبغي للمرأة العاقلة إذا وجدت زوجاً صالحاً يلائمها أن تجتهد في مرضاته، وتجتنب كل ما يؤذيه، فإنها متى آذته، أو تعرضت لما يكرهه أوجب ذلك ملالته، وبقي ذلك في نفسه، فربما وجد فرصته فتركها أو آثر غيرها، فإنه قد يجد، وقد لا تجد هي“ 

When an Intelligent woman found a husband who's righteous and suitable according to her desires, then he should keep her happy and refrain herself from the things from which her husband gets irate or hurt because if she hurts this kind of man then he will take it to his heart and won't be able to bear that and whenever he gets a chance, he will divorce her or marry another wife because husband will get many wives but for the woman it's hard to find a suitable man who's according to her desires.

Showing off and Ibadah.

At Tabai Imam Harith bin Qais رحمہ اللہ said:

When you're performing salah and Satan struck you with whims in your heart that you're showing off then elongated and extend your Salah.

[Az Zuhd Imam Ahmad 2092, Kitab Az Zuhd Li Waqih bin Jarrah Rijal, Thiqa]

Imam Saleh al Uthaymin رحمہ اللہ said:

It doesn't comes under showing off,  when a person rejoice in his heart that people know about his specific act of worship because this feeling comes after the Ibadah, likewise if a person becomes happy because of his good deed then it is also not considered showing off as Nabi صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: 

إِذَا سَرَّتْكَ حَسَنَتُكَ وَسَاءَتْكَ سَيِّئَتُكَ فَأَنْتَ مُؤْمِنٌ

If you are happy with your good deeds and saddened by your bad deeds, you are a believer.

Imam Shura'yh al Qadhi رحمہ اللہ said

 رَأَيْتُ رِجَالًا يَضْرِبُونَ نِسَاءَهُمْ ... فَشَلَّتْ يَمِينِي يَوْمَ أَضْرِبُ زَيْنَبَا

I have seen how men hit their wives. May my hand be paralyzed if my hand hits Zaynab (his wife).

Indians in Arab during the period of Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم.

 Az Zutt (الزط) - Jaat or Jatt, people of sub continent.

Az Zutt is an arabic word which means Jaat or Jatt this tribe belongs to subcontinent and also the people of this tribe resided in Arab from a very long time. These people lived in Sindh, Punjab and according to some historians they also lived in Balochistan.

It is mentioned in Lisaan al Arab

الزط جيل اسود من السند بالهندية وهوجيل من اهل الهند وهم جنس من السودان والهنود

The Zutt people are from the Sindh who are dark in skin, and these people belong to India, they are dark in complexion and from the Indian genes.

[Lisaan al Arab 7/308]

It is mentioned in an authentic hadith narrated by Ibn Abbas رضیﷲ عنه that Saydna Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم described the physical appearance of Moosa عليه السلام (Moses) same as the people of Az Zutt (Jatt/Jaat)

Saydna Ibn Abbas رضیﷲ عنه reported that Rasoolallah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

وَأَمَّا مُوسَى فَآدَمُ جَسِيمٌ سَبْطٌ كَأَنَّهُ مِنْ رِجَالِ الزُّطّ.

Moses was of brown complexion, straight hair and tall stature as if he was from the people of Az-Zutt (Jaat/Jatt).

[Sahih al Bukhari 3438]

It is mentioned in the historical records that when a group of muslims from Banu Harith bin Ka'ab sent from Najran and when they came to Rasoolallah صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم so after seeing them Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said:

من هولاء القوم كانهم رجال الهند

Who are these people who seems to be Indian.

The Jatt who informed Aisha رضیﷲ عنہا that she is bewitched.

Amra reported that 'A'isha رضیﷲ عنه had made one of her slavegirls a mudabbar (one who would be set free after her death). Then 'A'isha رضیﷲ عنہا became ill and her nephews consulted a gypsy doctor from Jatt (طَبِيبًا مِنَ الزُّطِّ).

He said, "You are asking me for information about a bewitched woman. A slavegirl of hers has bewitched her." 'A'isha رضیﷲ عنہاwas told and asked the girl, "Have you put a spell on me?" "Yes," she replied. "Why?' she asked. "Because you will never free me," she answered. Then 'A'isha رضیﷲ عنہا said, "Sell her to the worst masters among the Arabs."

As per the historian Muhammad Ishaq Bhatti that gypsy doctor was from the caste "Jutt"  الزُّطِّ in Arabic as mentioned in the hadith, the famous cast of subcontinent, and he accepted Islam.
